Your Family Loves You!

Hi Maximus!

You are now just over 3 months old! On July 26th, you weighed 9lbs and 13 oz. You are such a big boy now! You are able to hold your head up pretty well, and you are getting very antsy to start crawling. We lay you on your belly and you are able to spin yourself around in circles in one spot, but you aren't able to move forward very well yet. You'll need to start pumping some weights to get your upper body strength up so you can lift your head off the ground better! ;)

Mama and Papa took you on your second big adventure last month! When you were about 10 weeks old, we drove down to visit mama's family in Albuquerque. You met your Gramita and Grampito, your tios and tias and your primos! Everyone loved you! I only got to hold you when I was feeding you because everyone else wanted to hold you. You were a bit fussy the whole time though because of all the noise, being in a new environment, and being passed around a lot. But you were definitely loved.

After a couple days there, we continued our adventure and traveled all the way to Tulsa, OK to visit your other Great Grandparents!  It was a very long drive, 11 hours or so. But you did so well! You were asleep most of the time in your car seat! We were all very proud of you. When we got there, your great-grandpa was so excited. He has always wanted to have grandchildren with blue eyes. He never got it. Now his great-grandchild, you, come along and you have dark blue eyes! They might change color when you get older, but for now they are blue and your great-grandpa could not have been happier about it! Your great-grandma was very happy to see you too! She was so busy cooking for everyone, but she would always take some time to stop and hold you and stare at you for a while. You met your aunt, your cousins and some of mama's friends too! Everyone was so happy to finally meet you! You were still a bit fussy since you were in yet another new environment with more new people, but you did pretty well. You are a great traveler! 

And of course your grandparents were so very in love with you! It was hard to take you out of their arms! Your grandpa just loves to stare into your eyes, and you always stare right back. You two have a special bond already. And your gammie is very good at helping mama take care of you. She will rock you to sleep and change your diaper so that mama can have a break from doing it. They both love you so much! And you are starting to get used to them and you are happy in their arms. Your uncles, Kevin and Kory, really like you too. They both play with you and think that you are cute. They get a bit nervous to hold you, but they like having you lay near them.

Everyone loves you, Maximus! Don't ever forget that! Keep growing big and strong; try to learn as much as you possibly can! We will all be here to help you :)
